Job summary

PayPal is seeking an Indirect Tax Manager to be a technical expert supporting the U.S. indirect tax strategy and compliance. The role handles tax advisory, audits, and technical analysis across sales and use tax, personal property tax, and gross receipts taxes for PayPal and U.S.

affiliates. You will collaborate with Tax, Finance, Legal, Product, and AP while managing audits and regulatory changes. The position reports to the Director of Indirect Tax - Americas and is part of a global Indirect

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 7+ years of indirect tax experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support sales & use tax, personal property tax, and gross receipts tax audits from initiation through resolution.
• Provide timely tax guidance and technical analysis to Finance, Product, and Business stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants and internal teams to resolve audit findings.
• Support tax software deployments and identify optimization opportunities in tax systems.
