Job summary

PayPal is seeking an Indirect Tax Manager to champion U.S. indirect tax strategy and compliance. You will advise on sales and use tax, personal property tax, and gross receipts across PayPal and its U.S. affiliates, collaborating with Tax, Finance, Legal, Product, and AP to manage audits and evolving tax guidance.

The role reports to the Director of Indirect Tax - Americas and sits within a global team focused on sustainable tax strategies and improved tax operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of indirect tax experience, with demonstrated expertise in sales & use tax, property tax, and related areas.
• Experience leading others and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support sales & use tax, personal property tax, and gross receipts tax audits from initiation through resolution.
• Prepare audit schedules, workpapers, and documentation for auditors and government requests.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants and internal teams to resolve audit findings and ensure timely reporting.
