Job summary

PayPal is seeking an Indirect Tax Manager to lead the U.S. indirect tax strategy, advisory, and compliance across sales & use, personal property, and gross receipts taxes for PayPal and its U.S. affiliates.

The role collaborates with Tax, Finance, Legal, Product, and AP to manage audits and deliver timely guidance. It reports to the Director of Indirect Tax – Americas within a global team. The position demands strong technical analysis, cross-functional leadership, and ongoing tax research to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
7+ years indirect tax experience with a mix of Big 4/national firm and in-house roles (preferred).
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in indirect tax research tools and tax software.

Responsibilities

Lead or support audits for sales and use tax, personal property tax, and gross receipts tax.
Provide timely tax guidance and analysis to Finance, Product, and Business stakeholders.
Collaborate with AP, Legal, Accounting, and Finance to resolve findings and improve processes.
Support tax provision accounting and policy development for indirect taxes.
