Johnston County Department of Social Services seeks an Income Maintenance Supervisor II to lead the Adult Medicaid - LTC/SA/CAP Unit. You will direct Income Maintenance caseworkers, oversee daily operations, and ensure timely eligibility determinations in line with state policy.

Responsibilities include staff development, performance evaluation, and compliance with federal/state/county rules. Disaster duties may include Shelter or Emergency Management tasks as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Three years of experience as a caseworker or investigator in an income maintenance program, preferably with one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Two (2) years of experience working with Adult Medicaid eligibility determination and case management.
• Four years of experience in an income maintenance program, including one (1) year of supervisory experience in an income maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license.

Aufgaben

• Provide administrative, operational, and technical supervision of Income Maintenance Caseworkers responsible for processing Medicaid, Long-Term Care, and Special Assistance programs.
• Oversee daily operations, workload distribution and development of staff.
• Read, understand and adhere to program policy and guidelines set by the state.
• Maintain continual compliance for the department and respond to customer's need for assistance regarding eligibility.
• Ensure accurate and timely eligibility determinations, support staff in resolving complex case issues, and promote high-quality customer service.
• Evaluate unit performance, identify operational and workflow improvements, manage personnel matters, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and county policies and standards.
• Thorough knowledge of NC FAST system and some knowledge of EIS.
• Ensure training needs are met for staff and evaluate their work performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and organizational goals.
• Other duties may be assigned such as Shelter or Emergency Management duties during a disaster.
