Job summary

The Johnston County Department of Social Services is hiring an Income Maintenance Supervisor II in the Adult Medicaid - LTC/SA/CAP Unit. The role guides Income Maintenance caseworkers, oversees daily operations and ensures timely eligibility determinations with high customer service quality.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, training, policy adherence, and continuous process improvement. Knowledge of NC FAST and EIS is preferred; some disaster duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a caseworker or investigator in an income maintenance program, preferably with one year of supervisory experience.
• Two years of experience working with Adult Medicaid eligibility determination and case management.
• Four years of experience in an income maintenance program, including one year of supervisory experience in an income maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, operational and technical supervision of Income Maintenance Caseworkers.
• Oversee daily operations, workload distribution and staff development.
• Read, understand and adhere to state program policy and guidelines.
• Maintain continual compliance and respond to customers needing assistance with eligibility.
• Ensure accurate and timely eligibility determinations and assist staff with complex issues.
• Evaluate unit performance and identify workflow improvements.
• Ensure training needs are met for staff and evaluate performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and organizational goals.
• Other duties may include Shelter or Emergency Management during disasters.
