Johnston County Department of Social Services is seeking an Income Maintenance Supervisor II to guide and direct Income Maintenance caseworkers within the Family and Children's Medicaid Unit. The role emphasizes adherence to state policies, effective communication with customers and agencies, and ongoing staff training and performance evaluation.

The position may involve scheduling home visits, arranging transportation, and supporting eligibility determinations.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a caseworker or investigator in an income maintenance program, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and adhere to program policies and guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, agencies, and the public, in person or by phone.

Responsabilités

• Guide and direct Income Maintenance caseworkers.
• Maintain and monitor compliance with program requirements and respond to eligibility needs.
• Ensure training needs are met for staff and evaluate caseworker performance.
• Assign home visits and arrange transportation for clients as needed.
• Coordinate with Shelter or Emergency Management during disasters.
• Answer inquiries by phone or in person and refer to other program areas when needed.
