Johnston County Department of Social Services is seeking a Medicaid Program Manager to supervise the Adult and Family & Children Medicaid Units. The role oversees staff, develops policies, and ensures compliance with Federal and State standards.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in income maintenance programs, including one year of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with five years of social services experience and three years supervisory experience in eligibility.
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations governing these programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and participate in the delivery of income maintenance programs and services; review casework and assist staff.
• Provide leadership and guidance to supervisors and staff responsible for the programs.
• Report to the Medicaid Division Director and evaluate staff performance for quality.
• Develop policies and procedures, ensure quality/ timeliness, track training and certifications.
• Organize workflow and present recommendations to management; stay compliant with audits.
• Stay abreast of audit findings and other compliance standards; participate in disaster and emergency shelter operations.
