Job summary

The Arizona Department of Health Services is seeking an Administrative Counsel Senior to provide in-house legal support to the General Counsel’s Office and act as a liaison between the Agency, the Attorney General's office, and outside counsel. The role involves handling inquiries, conducting legal research, and advising on issues affecting the Agency.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Arizona and in good standing.
• Two years' experience involving high level analysis of programs or processes and legal documents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, review, track and issue appealable agency actions and related notices on behalf of the Director.
• Provide in-house legal support within the General Counsel's Office to the Agency Executive Team and liaison with the Attorney General's office and outside counsel.
• Track and respond to subpoenas, court orders, and confidentiality/privacy issues; coordinate responses.
• Other duties as assigned related to the position.
