Job summary

Encore Funding, a Cleveland-based specialty finance firm, is seeking an Implementation Manager to lead onboarding, data integration, and client projects. You will coordinate across internal teams and with clients to define requirements, manage timelines, and deliver tailored payroll and reporting solutions.

The role requires strong project management, Excel expertise, and exceptional communication to drive efficiency and client satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• MBA or advanced degree preferred for senior/lead levels
• 8 years minimum in accounts receivable, factoring, payroll funding, or financial operations; 1-2 years in supervisory/project management
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, and macros
• Excellent project management, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Experience with Trello, Asana, or Excel-based trackers is a plus
• Strong data accuracy and reporting capabilities
• Experience onboarding clients and integrating payroll systems
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

• Onboard new clients into our payroll system from end-to-end
• Collect, validate, and upload historical payroll data from previous providers
• Configure employee data, tax settings, and custom reporting needs for clients
• Collaborate with payroll processing and tax teams to deepen system knowledge
• Provide support during high-volume periods and meet deadlines
• Train team members and clients on system features and workflows
• Lead projects involving new vendors or software implementations
• Own project timelines and liaise between clients and internal teams
• Proactively support payroll operations during peak periods to ensure continuity
