Job summary

Intelerad is seeking a Senior System Support Specialist II to support Radiology IT environments, including PACS, RIS, and VNA. You will resolve level II issues, contribute to system health, and ensure HIPAA compliance while collaborating with radiology staff.

You will work with Windows Server, VMware, Linux, and various databases; strong communication is essential to coordinate with clinicians and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on experience supporting Healthcare IT systems, preferably in radiology environments.
• Solid experience with PACS, RIS, and VNA platforms.
• Working knowledge of DICOM, HL7, IHE interoperability.
• Proficiency with Windows Server environments (2012+), networking, and databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on experience with VMware, storage architecture, and Linux systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for clinical/technical stakeholders.
• Experience using ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred).
• Understanding of cybersecurity and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver escalated technical support across PACS, RIS, VNA, and imaging systems, solving Level II issues.
• Support upgrades, patches, configurations, and disaster recovery planning.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and document changes and solutions.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and IT staff to optimize workflows.
• Provide on-call coverage, including after-hours and weekends.
