Job summary

Intelerad, headquartered in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Senior PACS Implementation Engineer to lead the build, integration, migration, and onboarding of customer environments onto the InSight PACS platform.

You will act as the technical expert for healthcare system commissioning and interoperability across NHS trusts, private providers, and third-party suppliers, mentoring engineers and guiding day-to-day delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience implementing, integrating, or migrating PACS, RIS, VNA, or other healthcare imaging solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of DICOM services (C-Store, C-Find, C-Move, Modality Worklist) and HL7 messaging in healthcare integration contexts.
• Strong SQL and database skills, including querying, interrogating, and troubleshooting databases underpinning PACS and integration platforms.
• Direct experience with PACS build, configuration, and system commissioning within a regulated healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coordinating, or mentoring engineers within a technical delivery team.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical delivery of PACS build, integration, and migration projects, acting as the subject matter expert for DICOM, HL7, and healthcare interoperability standards across customer and partner environments.
• Design and troubleshoot integrations between PACS, RIS, EPR, VNA, and third-party clinical systems, translating customer workflows into effective solutions.
• Plan and execute imaging data migrations, including querying and troubleshooting the underlying databases, to ensure data quality and minimal disruption to clinical services.
• Lead day-to-day coordination of the implementation team's workload across build, integration, and migration activities, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and escalation support to engineers.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Client Experience teams to improve integration capabilities, maintain technical documentation, and support pre-sales and tender activities.
