Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for Idira Identity Security in a remote capacity, with a strong focus on public sector customers. You will showcase technical value through demos, POCs, and executive briefs, engaging with State, Local, and Education organizations.

The role requires 5+ years in a presales technical capacity, deep identity/security expertise, and solid Windows/AD, cloud knowledge. Travel up to 50% may be needed; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: MIS/Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience required
• 5+ Years experience in a presales technical role, ideally specifically with identity management or security technologies.
• Experience with government IT environments and security requirements (FIPS, FedRAMP, ATOs, STIGs/hardening).
• Collaborative & solution‑oriented: work with customers and internal teams to tailor solutions.
• Identity security technologies, IAM, PAM, and related security concepts.
• Windows/AD expertise: Windows Server, Active Directory, LDAP/AD/Directory Services; UNIX/Linux familiarity.
• Cloud technology expertise: AWS, Azure, GCP IaaS/PaaS.
• Strong communication & presentation skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Certifications: CISSP, CEH desirable.
• Travel: up to 50% as needed.
• Idira software or equivalent enterprise security solutions experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert on Idira Identity Security solutions for public sector clients.
• Develop new and existing technical relationships to drive opportunities.
• Plan and manage POC evaluations for public sector customers.
• Assist in RFP/RFI responses for government evaluations.
• Build and maintain relationships with technical and executive stakeholders.
• Support and enable Idira’s partner network for public sector clients.
• Represent Idira at industry events and marketing initiatives.
• Communicate customer requirements to product management and other teams.
• Collaborate with internal teams as a resource and mentor.
