Job summary

Entrust is seeking a highly experienced Principal IT Engineer to serve as a senior technical escalation and architecture expert for Americas Professional Services. You will lead complex deployments, guide cross‑functional teams, and influence stakeholders while delivering strategic consulting and high‑impact projects.

You will collaborate with customers, partners and internal teams, traveling across the Americas as needed, and continuously contribute to knowledge leadership and service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 15+ years as a senior systems integrator, systems engineer or architect.
• Deep experience with card personalization (EMV and issuance environments).
• Strong understanding of secure customer environments (financial/government/identity).
• Experience with on-site discovery, requirements assessment and deployment.
• Experience with Windows/Linux servers, networking, DNS, Active Directory, IIS, databases.
• Ability to troubleshoot across software, hardware, network and production workflow.
• Experience creating complex proposals, estimates and service offerings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel across North/Central/South America.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior escalation support for complex Professional Services in the Americas.
• Perform remote and on-site discovery, installation, integration, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Assess environments to craft practical architectural solutions.
• Lead liaison between customers, partners, PS, Support, Engineering, Product Management and Sales.
• Engage customers on-site and remotely to capture requirements and propose options.
• Mentor teams and improve documentation, playbooks and guides.
• Drive continuous improvement with measurable outcomes and automation.
• Stay current on Entrust products and market trends; provide field feedback.
