Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking a Senior Entra ID Engineer to lead Microsoft Cloud Identity projects remotely across the United States. You will own the end-to-end Entra ID design, integration with on-prem AD, and complex identity workflows for varied clients.

You will manage hybrid identity scenarios, implement advanced access controls, and collaborate with consultants to deliver secure identity solutions. Strong communication and a proactive security mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3–5+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and related identity management
• Deep knowledge of Conditional Access, MFA/passwordless, PIM, RBAC, access reviews, and entitlement management
• Strong hybrid identity experience with Entra Connect/Cloud Sync and on-premises AD
• Familiarity with SAML, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, Kerberos, LDAP, SCIM
• Experience integrating or migrating identity with IdPs (Okta, Ping Identity, ADFS)
• Troubleshooting sign-in failures, sync errors, and token/claims issues
• Basic to intermediate PowerShell scripting for automation
• Interest in emerging tech and AI tools for security
• Clear written and verbal communication for client-facing discussions

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end Entra ID environments and tenant architecture
• Implement Conditional Access, MFA/passwordless, PIM, RBAC, access reviews
• Own hybrid identity design including Entra Connect/AD integration
• Design and support identity federation between Entra ID and other IdPs
• Integrate applications via SSO and SCIM provisioning
• Design Entra External ID for B2B/B2C
• Work with Workload Identities and Managed Identities
• Investigate identity risks and drive hygiene improvements
• Stay aligned with adjacent Microsoft security workstreams
