Job summary

Accenture seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead security engagements in identity and access management. You’ll read and review system designs, make calls on build vs buy, and influence architecture in client environments.

Travel and client-facing duties are expected as part of delivering complex security solutions. You’ll be in a senior role, guiding engineers, prototypes, and reference implementations while staying hands-on where it makes sense.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years building and shipping production software.
• Hands-on technical work within the last 24 months.
• 4+ years of development in at least one of Python, Go, Rust, TS, Java, or C+.
• 4+ years designing and building concurrent or distributed systems in production.
• 3+ years deploying and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 2+ years of technical leadership of at least 2 engineers.
• Bachelor's in CS or equivalent; 12+ years work experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design for engagements and defend decisions when wrong.
• Review and prototype in the agentic identity stack when needed.
• Set technical direction and review engineers' code.
• Reverse‑engineer identity in client environments and design it accordingly.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions and document rationale.
• Prototype against emerging standards and vendor betas.
• Build reference implementations and technical content for the practice.
• Grow engineers around you by hands-on collaboration.
