Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to scale Stytch's identity capabilities within Twilio's platform. You will build backend APIs for authentication and identity use cases, partnering with product and engineering leadership to deliver high-impact features for Twilio's growing customer base.

The role emphasizes startup-like ownership, collaboration across teams, and a focus on reliability and observability, with a remote-first posture and occasional in-person gatherings.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience designing, building and operating high-scale cloud-based production systems.
• Production-grade code in a modern language with best-practice standards.
• Extensive experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Build and own backend capabilities for Stytch's identity platform integrated into Twilio.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to define direction and deliver roadmap features.
• Coordinate across Twilio and Stytch teams to align architecture and unblock cross-team work.
• Maintain technical ownership: design docs, code reviews, and shipping reliable systems.
• Design developer experiences that delight customers and scale with Twilio.
