Job summary

Twilio is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help develop Stytch’s fraud detection and prevention capabilities across Twilio’s customer base. You’ll work on our Device Fingerprinting product to detect bots, abuse, and advanced threats, partnering with product and engineering leadership to evolve detection techniques.

Qualifications

• 6+ years designing, building, and operating production systems.
• Expertise in C or C++, production experience a plus.
• Familiarity with a production-grade code base in a modern language and high quality coding standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work non-standard on-call rotation including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Build and own fraud detection capabilities for Stytch’s platform on Twilio, focusing on browser and device internals to improve actor identification.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to translate customer needs into technical plans and roadmap features.
• Coordinate architecture and integration efforts across Twilio and Stytch teams to unblock cross-team initiatives.
• Demonstrate deep technical ownership: write design docs, drive decisions, review code, and maintain systems you ship.
• Embrace ambiguity, break down complex problems, and adopt new technologies to improve outcomes.
• Improve production quality and resilience through observability and incident remediation.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge sharing to raise the team's technical bar.
