Job summary

Twilio is hiring a Software Engineer (L2) to help build and scale Stytch capabilities for Twilio's customer base. You will develop backend systems powering authentication, authorization, and identity use cases within a startup-like environment backed by Twilio's scale.

This US-remote role offers ownership and opportunities to influence architecture, collaborate across teams, and deliver high-impact features for developers and customers alike.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience designing, building and operating high-scale, production cloud systems.
• Proficiency with a modern programming language and production-grade code bases.
• Extensive experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Schedule: on-call rotation including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Build backend product capabilities for Stytch's identity platform on Twilio-shipping new API surfaces and core authentication flows.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to set direction and deliver roadmap features.
• Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams to align on architecture and platform integration.
• Operate with deep technical ownership: write design docs, drive decisions, review code.
• Break down ambiguous problems and design developer experiences that delight customers.
• Improve production quality and resilience via observability and incident response.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, feedback and knowledge-sharing.
