Job summary

Twilio is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for Stytch to advance fraud detection and prevention across Twilio's customer base. You will work on device fingerprinting to detect bots and abuse, partnering with product and engineering leadership to evolve detection techniques.

You will operate in a high-ownership, startup-like environment within Twilio, contributing to architecture decisions and delivering robust, scalable security features for developers and customers alike.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of designing, building and operating production systems.
• Expertise in C or C++ with production experience.
• Familiarity with a production-grade code base in a modern language and writing high-quality code.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, on-call weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Build and own fraud detection capabilities for Stytch's platform on Twilio.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to set direction and translate customer needs into technical plans.
• Work across Twilio and Stytch teams to align on architecture and integrate platform capabilities.
• Maintain deep technical ownership: design docs, key technical decisions, code reviews, and shipping reliable systems.
• Break down ambiguous problems, make pragmatic trade-offs, adopt new technologies when beneficial.
• Improve production quality via observability, incident response, and remediation.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
