Job summary

Twilio is seeking a backend engineer to build and scale Stytch’s identity capabilities within Twilio’s platform. You will ship secure, developer-friendly authentication flows and API surfaces, with ownership of architecture and key technical decisions.

You will collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to deliver high-impact features, improve observability, and mentor peers in a fast-paced, startup-like environment backed by Twilio’s scale.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 3+ years of designing, building and operating high-scale cloud-based production systems.
• Schedule: ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekends and holiday hours.
• Experience building developer tools or SDKs.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale Stytch’s core product within Twilio’s customer base.
• Design and deliver high-impact backend features and APIs.
• Own architectural decisions and drive technical direction.
• Mentor engineers and raise the team’s technical bar.
• Improve production quality and observability across systems.
