Job summary

D24 Search is seeking a Senior/Staff SWE to own the identity and access platform. This 100% remote role spans the US and Canada, with an optional HQ collaboration space in San Francisco.

You will shape secure access across all product surfaces and own critical authentication infrastructure at scale. You will join a high-trust team, contribute to login, sessions, token management, and service-to-service auth, and work with multiple teams to increase reliability and security while leveraging AI

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a backend, platform, or infrastructure engineer.
• Hands-on experience building authentication, authorization, or identity/permissions systems.
• Built single sign-on, access management, or authorization services at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve the authentication and authorization systems that power the product surface across the platform.
• Own critical auth infrastructure end to end — login, sessions, token management, service-to-service auth, accounts security and access enforcement.
• Improve reliability and observability with dashboards, runbooks, and alerting for auth services.
• Raise the security bar by identifying risks and implementing stronger controls early in design.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate coding, reviewing, solution exploration and automation.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to ensure access flows are secure and intuitive for restaurants and internal teams.
