Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help scale our identity platform. You’ll build backend APIs powering authentication and agentic/non-human identity use cases, partnering with product and engineering leadership to deliver high-impact roadmap features.

You’ll work in a remote-first environment with startup speed, owned by a global company, and responsible for high-quality, scalable systems and developer experiences.

Qualifications

• 6+ years designing, building and operating production systems.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and modern programming languages.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Build backend APIs powering identity and authentication features.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to deliver roadmap features.
• Align architecture across teams and integrate platform capabilities.
• Own design docs, drive technical decisions, review code.
• Design developer experiences and improve system observability and resilience.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards.
