Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a senior software engineer for its Identity and Access Management platform team. You will design and operate authentication/authorization services across distributed environments, building scalable security solutions in a high-availability SaaS/PaaS/IaaS context.

You’ll work with Golang/Python, TLS/OAuth/SAML, PKI, and containerized workloads on Linux/Windows, in a DevOps-enabled setup. Strong collaboration across security, infra, and engineering is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industry experience with at least 5+ years building distributed systems in SaaS/PaaS/IaaS environments
• 5+ years operating in high-availability, mission-critical environments (99.999% uptime)
• Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Proficiency in Golang and/or Python
• Expertise in TLS, OAuth, SAML, PKI and certificates
• Familiar with REST and OpenAPI/Swagger
• Solid DevOps practices, CI/CD, monitoring and production ownership
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows environments
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CodePipeline, CodeBuild)
• Experience with IaC and large-scale infra platforms
• Familiar with Git and version control
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong communication and collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable authentication and authorization services for distributed environments
• Develop and maintain system software for Linux, macOS, Windows
• Implement and operate large-scale security services using Golang or Python
• Integrate TPM-based device attestation and PKI-based security models
• Contribute to platform-level identity and security using PKI, certificates, and secure transport
• Build and manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes, Docker; use Terraform for IaC
• Operate and maintain services in a full DevOps model with monitoring and troubleshooting
• Work in an Agile team delivering iteratively and collaboratively
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure platform integrity and trustworthiness
