Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Software Engineering for the Authentication Platform in Bellevue, WA.

You will lead a team delivering core identity services including Kerberos, LDAP, and WebAuthn/FIDO2, ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available IAM infrastructure. You will collaborate with security teams to enforce Zero Trust and least privilege, while coaching engineers to leverage AI tools responsibly and design robust systems for a globally distributed

Qualifications

13+ years of software engineering experience.
3-5 years leading teams in infrastructure-centric environments.
Experience with Kerberos and identity protocols (SAML, OIDC, LDAP).
Public cloud or hybrid environments (AWS/GCP).
Proficiency in Java, Go, or C#, and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and AI development tools.

Responsibilities

Set strategy and execution for the Authentication Platform to scale across environments.
Provide technical leadership across Kerberos, LDAP, WebAuthn/FIDO2, and TOTP.
Ensure high availability of foundational IAM services.
Partner with security architects to implement Zero Trust and least privilege.
Coach engineers to design complex systems and audit AI-generated code.
Own AI tool integration and governance within the development cycle.
Maintain architectural integrity and security best practices as AI increases code volume.
