Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SMTS) focused on Identity & Access Management and Device Trust in Bellevue, WA.

You will design and build scalable authentication and authorization services for distributed environments, supporting Linux/macOS/Windows, and operating large-scale security services in a DevOps model. You should bring 7+ years in distributed systems, strong cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure), and proficiency in Golang or Python, TLS/OAuth/SAML, REST/OpenAPI.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industry experience with at least 5+ years building distributed systems in SaaS/PaaS/IaaS environments and 5+ years operating in high-availability environments.
• Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficient in Golang and/or Python.
• Expertise in TLS, OAuth, SAML, PKI and certificates.
• Familiar with REST and OpenAPI/Swagger APIs.
• Solid DevOps practices, including CI/CD, monitoring and production ownership.
• Experience building software for Linux and/or Windows.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable authentication and authorization services for distributed environments.
• Develop and maintain system software for Linux, macOS, and Windows.
• Implement and operate large-scale security services using Golang or Python.
• Integrate TPM-based hardware trust and secure device attestation mechanisms.
• Contribute to platform-level identity and security solutions using PKI and certificates.
• Build and manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
• Operate and maintain services in a full DevOps model with monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Work in an Agile team to deliver iteratively and collaboratively.
• Partner with cross-functional teams across security, infrastructure, and engineering.
