Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Software Engineer for the Enterprise Security IAM platform, building scalable authentication and authorization services for distributed environments. You will work on Linux, macOS, Windows, and containerized workloads with Kubernetes and Docker in a high-availability SaaS setting.

This role emphasizes security protocols (TLS, PKI), PKI certificates, OpenAPI, CI/CD, and cloud familiarity (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industry experience, including 5+ years building distributed SaaS/PaaS/IaaS systems and 5+ years operating in high-availability environments (99.999% uptime).
• Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficient in Golang and/or Python.
• Expertise in security protocols and identity frameworks: TLS, OAuth, SAML, PKI, and certificates.
• Familiar with REST and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Solid DevOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, and production ownership.
• Experience building software for Linux and/or Windows.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or AWS CodeBuild.
• Working understanding of large-scale IaaS platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenStack).
• Familiar with version control systems such as git or Perforce.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication and collaborative mindset.
• Related technical degree required.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable authentication and authorization services for distributed environments.
• Develop and maintain system software for Linux, macOS, Windows.
• Implement and operate large-scale security services using Golang or Python.
• Integrate and extend secure device attestation mechanisms, including TPM-based hardware trust.
• Contribute to platform-level identity and security solutions using PKI, certificates, and secure transport.
• Build and manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
• Operate and maintain services in a full DevOps model: monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve.
• Work in an Agile team to deliver iteratively and collaboratively.
• Partner with cross-functional teams across security, infrastructure, and engineering to ensure platform integrity and trustworthiness.
