Job summary

HackerOne is seeking a Senior Security Engineer focused on Identity and Access Management in Seattle/DC areas. You will design access models and automation to ensure people, service accounts, and AI agents access only the right data at the right time.

You’ll drive automation, AI-powered reviews, and data-driven entitlement decisions, collaborating with Engineering, Enterprise IT, and Compliance to embed controls while supporting a flexible remote-friendly approach for near locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in identity and access management, security engineering, or software engineering with substantial ownership of identity systems
• Hands-on experience operating an enterprise identity provider such as Okta, including SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and lifecycle automation
• Experience with cloud IAM, ideally AWS, including policy design and short-lived credentials

Responsibilities

• Own the identity lifecycle end to end for people, service accounts, and AI agents, building automation for entitlements
• Design and build access models based on data classification so access follows data, not just who asks
• Make time-bound access the default for critical data and keep provisioning logic under version control
• Engineer identity as code with policies in Okta, Lumos, and AWS IAM and test across systems
• Build AI/LLM-powered tooling for continuous access review and anomaly detection
• Bring non-human identities under discipline with owners, purposes, and expiries
• Measure access continuously and prioritize reductions in unnecessary entitlement
• Partner with Engineering, IT, and Compliance to embed identity controls and support incident response
