Job summary

ENERCON is seeking Senior and Principal Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) SMEs to join the Nuclear Services Design Group in multiple U.S. locations, including Overland Park, KS. The role focuses on leading digital I&C upgrades, system analyses, and procurement for nuclear facilities.

You will mentor engineers, develop engineering packages, and ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across projects in a collaborative, industry-leading environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in I&C engineering with nuclear experience preferred.
• Experience developing test plans and test instructions.
• Knowledge of digital upgrade standards and modern I&C systems.
• Willingness to travel 15–25% and work in a client-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on complex nuclear I&C projects.
• Develop engineering packages, perform analyses, and support testing.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Create specifications for procurement of computer-based I&C systems.
• Ensure regulatory and standards compliance for digital I&C upgrades.
