Job summary

Framatome is seeking an experienced I&C Safety System Software Engineer to develop and maintain safety-critical software for digital I&C platforms used in reactor protection and engineered safety features actuation. You will translate system and regulatory requirements into detailed software designs and implement using safety-class tools.

The role requires deep expertise in real-time embedded systems, MBSE, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 7 years related experience in safety-critical or regulated environments.
• Understanding of real-time deterministic software behavior and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with nuclear digital I&C standards and regulatory expectations.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and model-based development tools for safety-critical apps.
• Experience with requirements engineering, traceability and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety-critical software for digital I&C platforms in nuclear contexts.
• Translate regulatory requirements into software requirements and designs.
• Implement software using approved tools and methods for safety-class applications.
• Support architecture definition including redundancy, determinism, and fail-safe behavior.
• Engage in IV&V, testing, documentation, and licensing activities.
• Collaborate with system architects, hardware engineers, and licensing teams.
