Framatome is seeking an Experienced Software Engineer for onsite work in Cranberry Township, PA. The role focuses on safety-critical software for digital I&C platforms used in nuclear power plant modernization projects, guiding the full lifecycle from requirements to licensing documentation.

You will collaborate with system architects, hardware engineers, and cybersecurity specialists to ensure compliant, licensable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of related experience in software engineering.
• Understanding of network protocols and deployment across environments.
• Experience with safety-critical or regulated development environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety-critical software for digital I&C platforms in reactor protection and safety features.
• Translate regulatory and system requirements into software design and implementation plans.
• Follow approved tools and methods for safety-class applications (e.g., structured programming, model-based development).
• Participate in testing, IV&V, and documentation activities.
• Collaborate with system architects, hardware engineers, and licensing teams to ensure licensable solutions.
• Support licensing submittals, audits, and regulatory inspections.
