Job summary
Valar Atomics is seeking a Staff I&C Hardware Engineer to specify, design, install, commission, and maintain instrumentation and control hardware for nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities in Utah. You will lead complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with process, mechanical, and piping teams to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Chemical, or Systems Engineering or related discipline.
- 8+ years of instrumentation or I&C engineering experience in process industries.
- Experience specifying and sizing field instruments and control valves.
- Experience developing instrumentation deliverables including loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, I/O lists, and cable schedules.
- Leading hazardous area classification and intrinsic safety loop verification.
Responsibilities
- Own instrumentation engineering documentation for capital projects (instrument index, loop diagrams, I/O lists).
- Lead safety instrumented system hardware scope including SIL verification calculations.
- Tune regulatory control loops and commission field instrumentation.
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, and piping engineers on instrument installation details.
- Provide direction to contractors and vendors; mentor junior engineers.
