Job summary

Valar Atomics is actively seeking a Staff I&C Hardware Engineer to specify, design, install, commission, and maintain instrumentation and control hardware for nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities.

You will lead instrument selection, loop tuning, and safety system hardware, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with contractors to ensure safety and reliability across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Chemical, or Systems).
• 8+ years of instrumentation or I&C engineering experience in process industries.
• Experience specifying and sizing field instruments and control valves.
• Experience developing instrumentation deliverables (loop diagrams, data sheets, cable schedules).
• Hazardous area classification and intrinsic safety verification experience.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, install, commission, and maintain instrument hardware.
• Lead instrument index, loop diagrams, data sheets, and I/O lists.
• Oversee hazardous area classification and intrinsic safety loop verification.
• Tune PID and regulatory control loops; commission field instrumentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee contractors on instrument scope.
