Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer in Arizona to independently lead projects and guide a team of engineers and designers. The role focuses on evaluating and engineering I&C systems, including DCS/SCADA/PLC, with responsibility for project scope, budget, and schedule.

The incumbent will act as Engineer of Record and collaborate with owners, contractors, and vendors to deliver complex instrumentation and controls solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of instrumentation and controls experience.
• PE license in Controls Systems or Electrical Engineering (AZ) or ability to obtain reciprocity.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate with clients and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, high-complexity projects and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants.
• Evaluate, select, and engineer I&C systems for projects; prepare specs and construction docs.
• Develop design through sketches, models, diagrams, and drawings; manage scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and coordinate with owners, contractors, and vendors.
• Support commissioning activities and develop process control descriptions for system integrators.
