Job summary

Stantec in Albuquerque is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to lead large, complex projects, evaluating and engineering all I&C systems. The role requires a BS in engineering, 15+ years in instrumentation and controls, and a PE license or reciprocity with AZ; travel may be required.

The position emphasizes design leadership, client interaction, and mentoring junior staff across virtual or in-person teams in a dynamic water-delivery group.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering required.
• MS degree preferred for senior level roles.
• 15+ years in instrumentation and controls field.
• PE license in Controls or Electrical in AZ or reciprocity or within 18 months.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to mentor staff and collaborate across locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex I&C projects and act as Discipline Lead.
• Evaluate, specify, and engineer all I&C systems for projects.
• Develop designs via sketches, models, diagrams, and drawings.
• Prepare documentation: site plans, floor plans, schematics, details.
• Lead coordination meetings with teams, consultants, owners, and vendors.
• Manage project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
