Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, seeks a Senior Design Engineer in Electrical/Controls with a strong SCADA background. You will lead or support power projects, develop designs and specifications, and mentor junior engineers within the Design Engineering group.

The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive base compensation, with base pay between $143,000 and $149,000 per year, subject to education and experience. Office-based with multiple locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
• At least 10 years’ experience in instrumentation and controls engineering and design; 3+ years in power generation preferred.
• Familiarity with control system programming concepts and SCADA/PLC/DCS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support engineer on pursuits and projects for SCADA replacement/upgrades and I&C in power facilities.
• Apply engineering techniques to meet project goals and customer requirements.
• Develop client proposals and cost estimates; mentor entry and mid-level staff.
• Coordinate design efforts with project teams and suppliers; review shop drawings and technical interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and Kiewit guidelines.
