Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced Instrumentation & Controls engineer for nuclear power projects. You will lead design of digital I&C systems, supervise project teams, and coordinate with clients to deliver safe, reliable plant upgrades.

The role is hybrid with in-office 3 days per week in the Charlotte area; requires a BS ABET-accredited degree and 10+ years in I&C engineering. PE license is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years in instrumentations and controls design for heavy industrial plants.
• Experience with turbine, pumps, feedwater control, data displays.
• Experience with DCS and/or PLC systems for nuclear plants.

Responsibilities

• Develop and market high level, complex programs for nuclear power projects.
• Direct technical decision making in project teams for I&C upgrades.
• Coordinate designs to ensure compliance with specs, codes, and client requirements.
• Prepare and review calculations and drawings for master diagrams.
• Attend client meetings and site walkdowns to validate scope.
