ENERCON Services, Inc. is hiring an Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer to support the Nuclear Design Group. The role offers growth from mid-level to principal, with opportunities to lead and mentor others.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, reliable operation of nuclear facilities, update drawings, and review vendor submittals while driving innovation and quality. National openings include Chattanooga, TN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical or similar Engineering Degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with design of I&C plant components and controls systems including PLCs and DCS.
• Must have experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• US Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop precise drawings, calculations, and analyses to meet codes and client expectations.
• Create engineering documents that meet client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current with industry codes, safety culture, and advanced design techniques.
• Deliver engineering solutions that align with quality assurance programs.
• Build trust with clients through clear communication and reliable deliverables.
• Collaborate across disciplines to create integrated designs meeting project requirements.
• Provide field support, site walkdowns, and ensure all structures and components meet engineering standards.
