Job summary

ENERCON is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer for its Nuclear Design Group. The role supports safe, reliable operation of nuclear facilities, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and providing field services, drawings, and documentation updates.

The position offers growth paths toward senior roles and leadership, across multiple locations including Baton Rouge, LA. A Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required, with at least 3 years of I&C design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical or similar Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum 3 years of design experience for I&C plant components and controls systems including PLCs and DCS
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• US Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract Requirements

• Set the Standard: Create documents that exceed requirements and ensure process discipline

• Drive Quality & Precision: Deliver high-quality engineering results aligned with QA programs

• Provide Field Support: Conduct on-site walkdowns and verify structures, systems, and components meet standards
