Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group.

This role supports safe, reliable operation of commercial nuclear facilities, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on electrical assessments, regulatory compliance, and plant documentation. The position offers paths to mid-level, senior, or principal roles with training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience designing I&C plant components and controls systems including PLCs and DCS.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power, or government (DOE) projects.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• US Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop Engineering Deliverables: Drawings, calculations, and analyses that meet codes and client expectations.
• Develop engineering documents that meet client, Enercon, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current with industry codes, safety culture principles, and advanced design techniques in the nuclear sector.
• Deliver high-quality solutions aligned with QA programs and improve project performance.
• Build trust with clients through clear communication and professional engagement.
• Collaborate across disciplines to create integrated, well-rounded designs.
• Provide on-site field support and plant walkdowns meeting highest engineering standards.
