Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Sr Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to lead design and optimization of control systems for state-of-the-art facilities. You’ll develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and ensure compliance while collaborating with architects, engineers, and designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or other related engineering or technical field.
• At least 6 years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control.
• Demonstrated experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Provide on-site startup support and coordinate work activities with other staff and discipline leads.
