Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to lead design and delivery on utility-scale power projects, campus upgrades, and energy initiatives.

You will specify instrumentation, develop control system architectures, and oversee commissioning while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in design/consulting, DCS/PLC/SCADA expertise, and strong communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical).
• 10+ years of design, consulting, or operations experience in engineering.
• Ability to lead multi-person teams and deliver projects.
• Experience with DCS/PLC, P&ID, SCADA, and networked OT systems.
• PE license or ability to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to deliver utility-scale power projects from design to commissioning.
• Prepare specs, write control system descriptions, and support startup activities.
• Specify instrumentation like pressure/flow transmitters and control valves.
• Design SCADA/OT networks including DCS/PLCs, servers, switches and firewalls.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and support client relationships.
