Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks a Senior Estimator to lead multi-discipline cost estimates and construction schedules for large water infrastructure projects.

The role involves coordinating discipline estimators, ensuring accuracy, and supporting procurement and change management. The position offers flexibility in work location with options to work from home or Stantec offices in the US/Canada, and may require domestic and international travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in an estimating and construction role.
• Experience estimating hydropower, water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping systems, or major water infrastructure projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the timely and complete development of multi-discipline cost estimates and construction schedules.
• Develop estimates for water treatment processes, wastewater systems, pumping stations, and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate input parameters for cost estimates and construction schedules.
• Validate material takeoffs and construction quantities from drawings.
• Coordinate and compile information from all estimating disciplines into one cost estimate.
• Prepare basis of cost estimate reports for end users.
• Provide support for procurement, change and claims valuation and negotiations.
• Interface with management and client counterparts for estimating tasks.
