Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC is seeking an Engineering Technician V (Hydraulics) with U.S. Navy shipboard experience to provide full-time onsite support at SWRMC in San Diego, CA.

You will troubleshoot and repair shipboard hydraulic systems, support maintenance and inspections, and train Ship's Force for readiness. The position requires a SECRET clearance, is contingent on contract award (Feb 2027), and includes comprehensive benefits with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• At least seven (7) years of hands-on experience in operation, troubleshooting, repair and assessment of Navy auxiliary equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics systems and related components across multiple platforms.
• Ability to interpret drawings and provide SME support on-site and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite support and surge support for Code 254 equipment.
• Lead assessment teams and Fleet Technical Assistance teams on-site or remotely.
• Conduct pre-job briefings and report equipment readiness status.
• Perform inspections, data collection, and determine root causes; suggest repairs or replacements.
• Provide Onboard Maintenance Training to Ship's Force technicians during tasks and events.
• Prepare reports and participate in risk assessments and related processes.
• Document discrepancies and communicate findings to leadership.
