Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC seeks an Engineering Technician V (Elevator Systems) for full-time onsite support at SWRMC in San Diego, CA. You will troubleshoot shipboard elevator/equipment, lead assessment teams, and train Ship's Force to improve readiness. A Secret clearance is required, with up to 10% travel.

The role involves engineering evaluations, equipment testing, and on-site/remote support to ensure fleet reliability and mission readiness for Navy assets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Navy equipment operation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Experience with elevator systems and related subsystems.
• U.S. citizen eligible for SECRET clearance.
• Strong report writing and Ship's Force OJT ability.
• Proficient with MS Office and data reporting.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite and surge support for Code 253 equipment.
• Serve as SME/lead for assessment teams and provide technical guidance.
• Conduct pre-job briefings and report readiness status.
• Perform or supervise Fleet Technical Assistance and repairs as needed.
• Conduct assessments and inspections to witness equipment operation.
• Provide OJT to Ship's Force technicians on system operation and maintenance.
• Assist with DFS/ESR research and review PCPs; develop risk assessments.
• Support monthly qualification progress and job-status reporting.
