Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; MS/PhD preferred.
• 10 years in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Licensed as Professional Engineer in California or able to obtain within 1 year.
• Strong background in earthquake/seismic engineering and finite element modeling.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead inspection, evaluation, design, and construction observation of hydraulic structures (dams, spillways, outlet works).
• Prepare design calculations, permits, reports, and construction drawings.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets; lead proposals and deliverables.
• Review reports and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Travel to project sites and GEI offices as required.
