Job summary
HDR invites applications for a Senior Structural Engineer (Hydraulic Structure Design) to join our team in California. You will work on dams, spillways, gates, and water conveyance structures, leading design efforts and performing advanced analyses.
This role emphasizes collaboration in our employee-owned culture and a commitment to delivering quality projects. The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a Bachelor's (required) and preferably a Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
- PE license is required.
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience relevant to hydraulic structures.
- Experience in design calculations and layouts.
- Ability to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry and wood.
Responsibilities
- Conduct structural analyses, evaluations and designs for hydraulic structures.
- Prepare contract documents and design criteria.
- Lead design of dams, spillways, gates, and related structures.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and provide mentorship.
