Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced electrical protection engineer to work in the Atlanta area with a hybrid schedule. The role focuses on protective relays for HV/EHV substations, generators, transformers, and transmission lines, and requires strong knowledge of protection software.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in power systems protection, PE or advanced degrees preferred, and a track record with NERC PRC compliance and various protection technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required or equivalent experience.
10+ years of power system protection experience required.
Experience with microprocessor-based relays and software is essential.
NERC PRC compliance experience is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Perform protection system calculations to support diverse clients.
Develop relay settings for HV/EHV substations and transmission lines.
Create relay settings for generators, transformers, motors, and LV protection devices.
Assist clients to comply with NERC PRC standards.
Perform relaying event report analysis.
