Job summary
Sargent & Lundy in Atlanta, GA, seeks a senior Electrical Protection Engineer to join the Electrical Analytical Division. The role covers protection system calculations and relay settings for HV/EHV substations and transmission lines, plus supporting NERC PRC compliance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s or PhD preferred.
- 7+ years in power system protection.
- Experience with microprocessor relays (SEL, Beckwith, GE, ABB, etc.).
- Experience with microprocessor-based relay software (SEL AcSELerator, GE Enervista).
- Experience with Generator, Transformer, and Motor Protection studies.
- Experience with HV/EHV substation and Line Relaying.
- Experience with LV Breaker protection.
- Experience with protection software ETAP, SKM, and Aspen.
- Experience with NERC PRC compliance evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Perform protection system calculations and analysis for diverse clients.
- Develop relay settings for HV/EHV substations and transmission lines.
- Develop relay settings for generators, transformers, motors, and protection devices.
- Aid clients in complying with NERC PRC standards.
- Perform relaying event report analysis.
