Job summary

Leidos seeks a Hybrid Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to design, build, and sustain secure hybrid cloud environments across Microsoft Azure and AWS for DoD programs in Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM. The role combines architectural leadership with hands-on engineering to deliver scalable cloud infrastructure, strong security controls, and RMF-compliant solutions.

Applicants must hold active DoD TS/SCI clearance, Azure Architect Expert certification, and 5+ years in enterprise cloud design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science/Information Systems/Engineering with 12+ years of experience
• DoD TS/SCI clearance at time of hire
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II cert (Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• 5+ years architecting and implementing enterprise cloud solutions
• Experience with Azure and AWS hybrid cloud architecture
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation)
• Experience with cloud security, RMF, NIST guidance
• Experience with endpoint management (Intune, Defender) and cloud security tools
• Strong communication and mentoring skills

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer, and implement secure hybrid cloud solutions on Azure and AWS
• Design greenfield cloud environments for DoD missions
• Develop secure, scalable cloud architectures aligned with DoD policies and Zero Trust
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFormation
• Manage Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint/Server, Defender for Cloud, and Azure Virtual Desktop
• Engineer secure networking syncing on-prem with cloud environments
• Automate deployments with PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, AWS CLI
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems engineering, and app teams
• Support RMF compliance activities and DoD security policies
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and provide guidance for mission objectives
• Mentor junior engineers and lead cloud engineering teams
