Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 12+ years of experience; higher experience may substitute for degree.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required at hire.
• Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• 5+ years of experience architecting and implementing enterprise cloud solutions.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• Experience architecting hybrid cloud environments with on‑prem and Azure/AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Purview, and AVD for enterprise endpoints.
• Experience with endpoint security, device compliance, and data governance.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFormation).
• Experience automating cloud administration via PowerShell, Python, Bash, Azure CLI, and AWS CLI.
• Strong cloud networking, Zero Trust, NIST guidance, and RMF knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to thrive in dynamic teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer, and implement secure hybrid cloud solutions across Azure and AWS.
• Design greenfield cloud environments meeting DoD mission requirements.
• Develop secure, scalable cloud architectures aligned with DoD cybersecurity guidance and Zero Trust principles.
• Design and implement IaC using Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFormation, or equivalents.
• Manage Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Purview, and AVD environments for enterprise endpoints.
• Engineer secure networking integrating on‑prem with Azure and AWS.
• Implement cloud monitoring, logging, backup, DR, and security services.
• Automate deployments and operations using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, AWS CLI, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems engineering, networking, and app teams to deliver integrated cloud solutions.
• Support system accreditation and RMF compliance activities with DoD policies.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and propose innovative solutions for mission objectives.
• Provide technical mentorship and lead junior cloud engineers as needed.
